This fabric can be customized with your customer’s team or organization logo using digital embroidery. Cut & Sew vs. Sublimation Fabrics

What’s the difference between cut & sew fabrics like our 330gsm fleece fabric and sublimation fabrics? Cut & sew as the name suggests means the garment is cut & sewn directly out of the fabric sheet before any printing is applied.

Because the garments must be manually measured before being cut, the minimum order quantity is often higher on cut & sew apparel pieces. After the garments are put together, we then add any logo or branding to the apparel.

Cut & sew hoodies and bomber jackets using fabrics similar to our 330gsm fleece fabric would have been common through much of the last 50 years.

Sublimation fabrics are used to make sublimation apparel. All sublimation fabric starts out white and is put through a giant printer that adds all colors and designs in the shape of the garment pieces. This allows for smaller order quantities due to not need to measure each garment piece. Our workers are able to just cut the pieces out along the design and then sew it together.

Sublimation printing fuses with the fabric and has a more sporty feel to it. Because of this, it doesn’t fit the needs of brands whose customers value having their logo sewn onto the apparel or want a more traditional texture.
